North End

Located within a quick walk of downtown, Q Lofts is helping reinvigorate Halifax’s North End as one of the “Greenest” condo buildings in Halifax.

Billing itself as Halifax’s first “true” north end lofts, Q Lofts is also one of the most energy-efficient large-scale condo buildings in North America. Every element of the design and construction was crafted with an emphasis on minimizing environmental impacts, with the goal of limiting the building’s carbon footprint and keeping energy costs low.

Looking for new digs in North-End Halifax? Theatre Lofts is one of several new North-End condo buildings leading the gentrification of the area.

North-End Halifax is in the midst of a gentrification boom, with numerous new shops, businesses, and condominium developments opening in recent years, and many more currently under construction or in the planning stages. Theatre Lofts, a four-storey condominium development consisting of 43 loft-style units that was completed in 2011, has proven to be a harbinger of sorts of the changes taking place in this long neglected section of Halifax.

In the hunt for a new condo and thinking that you may need to “spice up your life?” Then you may want to consider Spice Condos.

The Halifax condo market is booming, but the biggest part of the boom can probably be found in the city’s north end, especially the portion that abuts the downtown area. Among new condo developments in this area are Falkland Street Condos, Theatre Lofts, The Brickyard, and Spice Condos.

If you are looking for a condo in the booming north end of Halifax, you might want to check out Hydrostone Place . . . that is, if any units become available.

Long known as a “working class” neighbourhood that had to be rebuilt after the 1917 Halifax Explosion, the Hydrostone neighbourhood is now known as a “trendy” place to live in the city. Old houses are being renovated and restored, new townhouses are being built, and boutique-style shops and restaurants continue to set up shop.

Condominium development is also surging in the area, with Hydrostone Place being the most notable condo development. So notable that units are hard to come by.
